On a hot Saturday afternoon, we took Selene, Evelyn, and Alex to The Children’s Aquarium at Fair Park in Dallas. We took the Dart Train from Carrollton. The kids had a great time seeing the fish, eels, sharks, and other sea creatures. The highlight of the aquarium was feeding and petting the manta rays.
On another afternoon we took Selene and Evelyn to WinKids in Flower Mound for the open gym session. They enjoyed practicing and showing off their gymnastics skills.
One Sunday afternoon, Nora (Douglas' sister) came over to visit with her son and daughter. The kids played for hours and were sad when it was time to go.

Visita al museo de ciencia e historia
Douglas and Ana (Ale's Sister) have two girls, Selene and Evelyn. They recently went on summer break from school and were anxious to see their aunts and cousins in Texas. The issue was getting them all the way from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada to Texas. So on a Friday evening around 7pm, Zandy, her husband Nick, and Dave left for a quick 36 hour road trip to Casper, Wyoming. Douglas, a friend from his church, and the girls left from Edmonton around the same time. Saturday, around 3pm, the two parties exchanged the girls, and they were on their way to Texas.
The following Saturday, we got to spend the whole day with the girls. We decided to take them to the Fort Worth Science Museum. They had a great time viewing the exhibits and above all, playing. We went to see an IMAX film in the dome theater about tornadoes. To finish the day off we went to Cici's Pizza.
Selene y Evelyn, las niñas de Ana y Douglas salieron de vacaciones de la escuela hace poco. Estaban emocionadas de ver a sus tias y primos en Texas. El problema era como transportarlas desde Canadá a Texas. Entonces un viernes a las 7pm Dave, Zandy y su esposo Nick, salieron por un viaje de 36 horas a Casper, Wyoming. Douglas, un amigo de su iglesia y las niñas salieron de Canadá al mismo tiempo. El sábado, después de un breve intercambio en Casper, las niñas vinieron para Texas.
El siguiente fin de semana, tuvimos la oportunidad de pasar todo el fin de semana con las niñas. Decidimos llevarlas al Museo de Ciencia e Historia de Fort Worth. Les encantaba ver las exposiciones y sobretodo jugar. También vimos una película IMAX que se trataba de tornados. Para terminar el día fuimos todos a Cici´s Pizza.

Mexico - Summer 2011
Ale took a trip to Mexico to see her parents, Denise and Oscar. Ale, her mom, and Denise had the opportunity to take a quick trip to Mexico City as well. For the rest of the time, she spent her days relaxing and hanging out in El Rancho.
Ale fue a visitar a sus papas, a Denise y a Oscar en México. Ale, su mamá y Denise tuvieron la oportunidad de tomar un pequeño viaje a la Ciudad de México. Por el resto del viaje, Ale se la pasaba relajando en El Rancho.
