Pregnant!

So, now that I'm caught up on posting about a trip we took over a year ago, I can post about another little adventure - Ale's pregnancy.

Ale's pregnancy started out fairly normal with some nausea and vomiting and culminated with gestational diabetes and the breakout of a severe rash,  otherwise she and baby were perfectly healthy.  Ale worked through most of the pregnancy and finally left work at 8 months pregnant.  Since this isn't the 1800s, life just pretty much goes on despite pregnancy.  For example:

Hearing baby's heart and seeing him for the first time, about 6 weeks pregnant.

A quick weekend in Washington D.C. for the J. Reuben Clark Law Society annual conference.  Dave's dad, Mike and brother, Andy met us there.

Waiting to hear Elder Holland (on stage) speak.

White House (a few weeks later, public tours were shut down).

A special Spring Break visit from Denise which included:

A trip to Bass Pro Shops

Camping, hiking, and swimming at Garner State Park

A trip to the Zoo

A to finish off Spring Break, a trip to the beach!

A weekend with Dave's parents in Port O'Connor including sea kayaking

Ale's strange cravings for seafood (crawfish in this case)

Celebrating our anniversary at the Marriott Hill Country Resort

Spontaneous camping trip to exotic Lake Medina near Del Rio, Texas. (Heat, bugs, winds, and a dry lake).

Quick trip to take Denise up to Canada.  No pictures of Canada were actually taken as Ale stayed in the house asleep most of the trip (6 months pregnant).  But Denise and Ale did enjoy a 10 hour layover at the desirable St. Paul/Minneapolis airport.

Ale even bought a souvenir sweatshirt!

Baby shower!

Walks in the park to get the baby into position

A trip to the beach a few weeks before baby was due
