Canada - Part 1 - August 2010

For our short summer break after the summer semester ended and before the fall one started we decided to drive to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada to visit Ana, Douglas and their girls Seline and Evelyn.  It was a long drive and we camped along the way.  In all we ended up passing through Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Alberta, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Oklahoma.

Para las vacaciones entre el semestre de verano y el de otoño decidimos ir manejando a Edmonton, Alberta, Canada para visitar a Ana, Douglas, y a sus hijas Seline y Evelyn.  Fue un viaje muy largo y nos quedamos acampando en el camino.  Al final habíamos pasado por Texas, Nuevo Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Alberta, South Dakota, Nebraska, y Oklahoma.

 The first night we camped at Mueller State Park, east of Colorado Springs. - La primera noche acampamos en Mueller State Park, el cual queda al este de Colorado Springs.

 This was the view from our campsite. - La vista de nuestro sitio de campamento.

 The second night we stayed in a hotel in Wyoming.  These pictures are from the third night when we camped at Glacier National Park in Montana. - La segunda noche nos quedamos en un hotel en Wyoming.  Estas fotos son de la tercera noche cuando acampamos en Glacier National Park en Montana.

 The border between the US and Canada, no fences here. - La frontera entre los Estados Unidos y Canadá, no existen las cercas aquí.

 Waterton Lakes National Park, Canada, this borders with Glacier National Park in the US. - Waterton Lakes National Park, Canada, este parque conlida con Glacier National Park en los Estados Unidos.

 The Alberta provincial legislature (capital). - La legislatura provincial de Alberta (capitolio).

 Miette Hot Springs, natural hot springs on top of the mountains. - Aguas termales naturales encima de las montañas.

 World Water Park inside the West Edmonton Mall, the largest indoor water park under one roof in North America. - World Water Park está dentro del centro comercial de West Edmonton.  Es el parque aquático más grande de norte américa bajo un solo techo.

 We camped in the Black Hills of South Dakota on the way back, and took a quick detour to see Mount Rushmore. - De regreso de Canadá acampamnos en los Black Hills de South Dakota, después, hicimos un recorrido de Mount Rushmore.
